Mervyn grew up in Eltham among the artists and writers at the Montsalvat Artist’s Colony. A natural artist, Mervyn has travelled much of his adult life throughout Europe, Asia, Africa and the United States, making art.
His visual arts works are made using multi-media processes from traditional paint on canvas, drawing, pastel painting, carving construction and clay modelling.
Mervyn relocated from Eltham to Hamilton in 2016 where he have set up a studio, gallery and picture framing workshop with his wife, Jenni Mitchell, at their historic bluestone property, Petschel House, in Petschels Lane.
